DSP Musa Mohammed Adamu: GINMI donates relief material, cash

The Giving to the Needies Mission International, GINMI Saturday paid a humanitarian visit to the ailing Deputy Superintendent of Police, Musa Abubakar Adamu.

Following a distressing video released on social media platforms by the personnel, the Organisation said the plight of the ailing Police Officer which struck a chord, led to an emergency expanded meeting of the Board of Directors to see how the organisation can offer urgent support to the public servant.

Recall that DSP Adamu in 2021 during a Special Operation he led in Kaduna in the course of rescuing kidnap victims exchanged gunfire with the hoodlums.

In the ensuing gunfire, a junior officer died on the sport, leaving Adamu with bullet injuries. He was struck by a bullet which severely damaged his testicle, stomach and hip. Since 2021, he has been urinating through pipe.

Speaking in the compound of the ailing officer, in Gada Buke, Kuje Area Council of FCT, the Chairman, BoT of GINMI, Evangelist Reuben Uche Egwu averred that they came to empathise with him over his current ordeal.

Evangelist Egwu described DSP Adamu as a gallant officer whose predicament occurred while delivering his patriotic service to Nigeria.

“Our organisation watched the video you shared online while in the forest over your deteriorating health conditions.

“First we commend your gallantry and patriotism to have courageously engaged the bandits in a gun duel.

“It was a successful mission because you succeeded in rescuing the kidnapped victims.

“Our team decided to visit you today to see how we can provide support towards remedying the situation.
“These items which we brought here today, will assist you for sometimes. I can assure you we will continue to factor you in our planning.
“Please, don’t allow this predicament to weigh you down.

Earlier, the DSP Abubakar said the video he shared has indeed triggered a positive response with this coming of the NGO.
He commended GINMI for being the first to identify with him.

“Allah will bless you. I thank you for these gifts and the money you gave me. I have been in this condition for 3 years. Life has not been easy. this support you gave me from the Southeast Ebonyi has indeed increased my hope that I will be healed one day.

He said his office is also planning on how they can assist him.
